S&W 686 Plus / 586 Plus .38/.357 Moon Clips — Hornady Brass

Built for competition revolver shooters running the Smith & Wesson 686 Plus and 586 Plus 7-shot revolvers with Hornady brass. Hornady brass generally has a larger extractor groove than other brands, so we cut this clip looser than our standard .38/.357 clip to better match that groove. Extractor groove dimensions vary between production runs of Hornady brass, so we can’t guarantee a perfect fit on every batch.

Fits Smith & Wesson 686 Plus and 586 Plus 7-shot revolvers in .38/.357. Cut for Hornady produced brass. Moonclips only work in cylinders that have been machined to accept them. Not all factory cylinders are. Verify before ordering or contact us to confirm. If your cylinder isn’t machined for clips, we offer the Moon Clip Machining service.
